Merron Clark, 63, of Clarksville, Iowa, died on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Pastor Laura Hucke will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in Amity Cemetery, Dinsdale.

Merron Anne (Hughes) Clark was born September 27, 1944, at Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Mildred (Porter) Hughes. She graduated from the Cedar Falls High School.

On May 11, 1963 she was united in marriage to Thomas Markussen. They later divorced.

Merron later married Roger Clark on January 19, 1994, at the Peace Methodist Church in Waverly. She was employed by the Clarksville School for many years driving school bus. Merron was a den mother for Troop 53 in Clarksville and taught Sunday school for many years at the Community Church in Clarksville. Her interests included reading, sewing, quilting, cooking, fishing, going to rummage sales and spending time with her grandchildren.

Living family members include her husband, Roger Clark of Clarksville; two sons, Michael (Chris) Markussen of Traer, and Bryan (Sharon) Markussen of Clarksville; three step-children, Duane (April) Clark of Shell Rock, Troy Clark of Wis. and Ryan (Lynelle) Clark of Shell Rock; three grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa and Max Markussen; six step-grandchildren, Tyler, Sampson, Jessica, Brooke, Kylie and Sophie Clark; three brothers, Richard (Mary) Hughes of Adel, Ted (Diane) Hughes of Sheffield and Paul (Juanita) Hughes of Charles City; several nieces and nephews; loving companions her pets, Teddy, Maddie, Mittens, Missy and Little One.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Bradley Markussen; and one brother, Tom Hughes.
