CEDAR FALLS, IOWA — Lawrence Aswegan, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, March 27, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.

Lawrence was born on March 11, 1926, in Fern, son of Luke and Lizzie Schmidt Aswegan. He married Lois Jorgensen on Oct. 5, 1947, in Nashua. They later divorced.

Mr. Aswegan owned and operated Aswegan LP Gas Service.

Survived by: two sons, Lynn (Tammy) of Johnston and Larry (Sandi) of Castle Rock, Colo.; one grandchild; and a sister, Leona (Donald) Pruisner of Dike.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Luke and Leonard; and a sister, Louise Jungling.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John American Lutheran Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home.
