Believe Lad was Kidnapped
~
Hudson, Ia. May 3, - The disappearance of William Murphy still remains a mystery. Not a trace has been found of him since the time he walked out of his father’s home last Wednesday night and the belief is growing that he was kidnapped. At first the neighbors were of the opinion that the boy had simply run away from home, but when it became generally known that the lad at the time of his disappearance wore his coat and vest and only had on a thin shirt and a pair of overalls in addition to his shoes and hat, and that he had taken no money with him when he had a quite a considerable sum in his room, the runaway theory was thrown aside and that of death taken up. But that theory, too, has been practically exploded, for a diligent search of the country for miles around has failed to find the lad’s dead body.
