There was a Hans Elias Jergensen, born in 1844 in Denmark who married an Ellen Swanson born 1851 in Sweden. They lived near Denmark, Adams County, Iowa. They had one son, Hans Jergenson who was born July 24, 1874 in Lincoln Township, Adams County, Iowa. Hans, the father, had died on July 1, 1874, three weeks prior. Ellen Swanson Jergenson then married Ole Anderson on October 3, 1874 in Montgomery County, Iowa and went on to have at least eight children with him. Ellen died in 1909 and is buried in the Strand Cemetery, Lincoln Township in Adams County, Iowa.
