Darryl R. Tracy age 58 of the Cedar Valley Ranch in Vinton Iowa and formerly of Maquoketa Iowa died Wednesday morning August 8 2001 at the home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday August 11 2001 from the East Iron Hill Community Church rural Maquoketa with Pastor Sunnie Hermetet officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday August 10 2001 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the East Iron Hill Cemetery rural Maquoketa Iowa.

Darryl R. Tracy was born on April 29 1943 in Lake Park Iowa to Clifford Tracy and Esther Sonnemaker Tracy. Mr. Tracy was a 1962 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School. He married Betty Lou Clark on August 25 1963. He then married Nan Crawford in February of 1981 in Dubuque Iowa.

Mr. Tracy had first farmed in the Maquoketa and Preston area for several years. He then was a school bus driver for the Preston Community School District for several years. He then worked at Ralston-Purina in Clinton Iowa for 10 years. He also owned and operated Tracy Custom Painting and Tracy Custom Fencing in Maquoketa for many years.

Mr. Tracy had resided at the Andrew-Jackson Care Center rural Andrew Iowa for 10 years. For the last 5 years he had resided at the Cedar Valley Ranch in Vinton Iowa. He loved the outdoors and his family was very important to him.

He is Survived by: 3 Daughters- Julie(Mrs. Rick) Thompson and Jayne(Mrs. Scott) DeWitte both of Shellsburg IA and Janelle(Mrs. John) Stadtmueller of Monticello IA; 1 Son- Ryan Tracy of Maquoketa IA; His Parents- Clifford & Esther Tracy of Maquoketa IA; 4 Grandsons & 1 Granddaughter; 3 Brothers- Jerald(Jan) Tracy of Hazel Green WI Burton Tracy of Holmen WI & Mark(Nettie) Tracy of Onslow IA; 4 Sisters- Shirley(Mrs. Keith) Crowe of Siren WI Maxine(Mrs. Don F.) Miller of Maquoketa IA Delores(Mrs. Richard) DeLarm of Onslow IA & Leona(Mrs. Tom) Soppe of Miamiburg OH; & Many Nieces & Nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother- Carlyle & 2 infant sisters.

A Darryl R. Tracy Memorial Fund has been established.
