Darrell M. Hiler, 70, died Saturday morning at Virgina Gay Hospital following an extended illness.

He was employed for 32 years as a machinist for John Deere, retiring in 1980.

Survivors inlcude his wife, Marjorie; three sons, Gary of Hudson, David of Monticello and James of Independence; a daughter, Sharon McGovern of Marion; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandsons.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, First Baptist Church. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery. Graveside military rites by the Geo. G. Luckey American Legion Post No. 57. Friends may call at Phillip’s after 2 p.m. Monday.
