June 19, 1941Frank Meeks Dies At Brother's Home
Williamsburg: Following funeral services at the O.G. Jones funeral home in Williamsburg, the remains of Benjamin Frank Meeks, 63, were interred in the IOOF cemetery in Marengo. The services were in charge of the Rev. William T. Baird.
Mr. Meeks was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Meeks and was born in Benton county May 12, 1879. He passed away Sunday June 15, at the home of his brother, Russell, southeast of Williamsburg. Altho he had been in poor health for some time, death came somewhat unexpectedly.
In 1903 Mr. Meeks was married to Carrie Haughenbury, who passed on in 1912. To them was born one daughter, Mrs. Carl Niebeck. His second wife, Mae Turner of Blairstown, to whom he was married in 1919, died in July, 1933.
Among those who survived in addition to the daughter are one grandchild, John Niebeck; two sisters, Mrs. Ardelia Beckler of Hitchcock, S. Dak., and Alice Meeks of Cedar Rapids and one brother, Russell of Williamsburg.
