Suddenly at his home in Benton county, Iowa, on Sunday morning, January 13, 1889, of heart disease, Mr. Frank B. Meeks, age 47 years 7 months and 24 days.
Mr. Meeks was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, in 1841. He moved to Iowa in 1866, and settled in Benton county, about eight miles northwest of Marengo, where he has since resided. He leaves a mother, wife and ten childeren to mourn their loss. The funeral services were held in the Dayton schoolhouse on Monday. Rev. W.H. Phelps, of this place, preaching ther sermon, after which the remains were taken to the Dayton cemetery for interment.
