This is a Civil War site with all of his data listed. The last line of Summary states: "Rosannah Archer died 17 Aug 1897 at Rock Island, IL."

I have been all over the Maple Grove Cemetery & visited Stephen's grave many times, looking for Rosannah's grave. I have check Audubon Co. death records at Courthouse & with City Clerk in Audubon--nothing. I have searched old Audubon newspapers on microfilm for death notice, obituary, funeral/burial notice--nothing. I have searched Audubon Co. genealogy records at the library--nothing. Cemetery records have nothing. I think she is buried in Martinsville, Ilinois with family, or in Rock Island, Illinois. It makes sense. To have her embalmed & shipped to Audubon County for burial in 1897--a 3 to 5 day process--without having any air conditioning in heat of August, would not be the thing to do. Hope this helps.
