A man from Australia e-mailed me looking for the grave of Frederik Gjerrild born circa 1825 in Denmark. He thinks the Frederik Gjerrild who is buried in Oakfield Baptist Cemetery, Audubon County, Iowa may be his ancestor. His frederick applied for emigration from Denmark in 1892 & that his Frederik came from Hjorring, in Jylland (Jutland). He said his Frederik was age 67 years old when he emigrated acording to data from the DDD Emigration Database. The Australian man's name is Val & his e-mail is trifam@iprimus.com.au; I am not related to these familys, but thought somebody in the Audubon County area might help him.There might be a connection to Katherine Sorensen-Gjerrild who is also buried in the Oakfield Baptist Cemetery, Audubon Co., Iowa & Howard Sorensen.
