Hans J. (Jurgen?)(George) NIELSEN (Nelson/Nelsen) b. 7/6/1862 (or 1861) in Jylland (Jutland), Denmark. d. 1946, Audubon County, IA.
Father: Niels (Nielsen)
Mother: Anna
Hans served in the Danish military less than 1 year.
He came to the USA Mar. 1887 (or 1888), first stopping in New York City.
Naturalized 1892 (I have a copy)
Hans married Ellen Marie JENSEN on 3/15/1894 in Audubon county, Iowa. (I have a copy of the certificate.)

Ellen Marie JENSEN, b.1/27/1871, Stokkeby, Aero, Denmark. d. 1942, Audubon county, IA.
Father: Claus Hansen Jensen
Mother: Birthe Larsen (Rasmussen)
Ellen Marie came to USA around 1890. She married Hans J. NIELSEN (Nelson/Nelsen) on 3/15/1894 in Audubon county, Iowa. (I have a copy of the marriage certificate.)

Ellen Marie JENSEN had a few brothers and sisters who also came to the USA and probably Iowa. They might have last names of JESSEN. One of her sister's descendants are still living on Aero, Denmark.

I have a lot of information on Ellen Marie JENSEN's ancestors and descendants but need much more on this family. I have hardly any info on Hans J. NIELSEN before he immigrated. If you are related to either one please don't hesitate to contact me.
