Rites Set For Anna Wells

Mrs. Anna Wells, 77, former Elk Horn and Exira resident, died Sunday at the Salem Lutheran Home in Elk Horn.

The daughter of Lars and Ane Katrine Andersen Larsen, she was born Nov. 29, 1901, in Audubon County. She grew up near Elk Horn and was baptized and confirmed in the Elk Horn Lutheran Church and attended Elk Horn College. She worked in Exira before her marriage to Royal H. Wells May 2, 1921. They lived in Exira until 1958 when she moved to Elk Horn, where she was a nurses aide in the Salem Lutheran Home. Mrs. Wells was a resident of the home the last 10 years.

Surviving are a son, Donald Wells of Ponca City, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Mary Ann) Petersen and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Asberry, both of Exira; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers Jens Larsen of Audubon and Ludvig Larsen of Elk Horn.

The funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Exira Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel Mohr officiating. Interment will be in the Exira Cemeteery.

The family will meet friends and relatives at 7:30 tonight at the Exira Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be Alfred Baier, David, James R. and Norman E. Larsen, Robert K. Leigan and Leroy Layland.
