Oakfield and Brayton

A Sad Death

Tuesday the remains ot the 9-year-old
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Harris of Los Angeles, California
was brought here where interment
took place at the Oakfield Cemetery.
This was indeed a sad death. They
had visited with relative here but a
few short week ago, and had been
at home but a short time, when the
accident occurred, which caused her
death.

She had gone to post a letter at the
mail box when a lady running an automobile
came upon her running over
her and injuring her so as to cause
her death. It was a terrible blow to
the mother and father and their grief
is indeed great as this is their only
child.

They were accompanied here by
friends from Atlantic and were met
at the depot by their many friends.
The undertaker from Atlantic had
charge of the funeral at this place
and the teams which conveyed the
sorrowing parents, relatives and
friends to the last sad resting place
were brought here from Atlantic.

There were many beautiful floral
tributes and the whole community
joins in sympathy with the sorrowing
parents in this sad hour. This
little darling has gone to dwell with
him who said "Suffer little children
to come unto me and forbid them
not."

Note: Parents of Pauline Harris were Frank L. Harris and Maude E. Howell.
