Dead.
Hannah Anetta Bruner was born
to A. J. Bruner and wife at Hamlin's
Grove, January 1, 1879. The
family moved to Exira the following
year where they still reside and
where she was reared from tender
infancy to mature womanhood. In
1895 she graduated from the High
school of this city. On October 26,
1896, she was united in marriage to
Wm. W. Marietta. To them was
born one child, a girl now seven
years of age. They moved to
Council Bluffs in 1899, to Millard,
Neb., in 1901, and to Papillion, Neb.,
last March. Her health began to
fail about that time and she came
home to her parents hoping that a
change of climate and scenery and
good care would work a change,
but the disease had secured too
firm a hold and when it was seen
that her time on earth was short
her husband was sent for and was
with her till the end which came
peacefully and calmly Friday
morning, June 10, 1904. The funeral
ceremony was conducted from the
house, Rev. J. L. Fisher officiating
after which the remains were followed
by the relatives, and sympathizing
neighbors and friends to
their last resting place in the Exira
cemetery. She was a member of
the Christian church being converted
to that faith under the ministrations
of Elder Lockhart in 1894.
