Exira Woman Passes
After Long Illness

Mrs. Frank E. Waal, 36, well
known Exiran, died Tuesday morn-
ing at Iowa Methodist hospital in
Des Moines, where she was taken
Sunday. She had been suffering
from diabetes for the last four
years.

Mrs. Waal, whose maiden name
was Agnes Nelson, was born Aug-
ust 4, 1896, the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Nelson. Her marriage to
Mr. Waal took place October 4,
1919, at the home of her parents in
Exira. They had lived in Lincoln,
Nebraska until their return to
Exira a year and a half ago.

Surviving are the husband and
five children, besides four brothers
and one sister. The b(r)others are An-
drew Nelson, Omaha; Harry, Hutch-
inson, Kansas; Walter, Exira; Mark,
Lincoln, Nebraska. The sister is
Mrs. Dena Leach, Lincoln, Nebras-
ka.

Funeral services will be tomorrow
at 1 p. m. at the home and at 2
o'clock at the Exira Federated
church, an elder from the Nevada
S. D. A. church officiating. Burial
will be in the S. D. A. cemetery west
of Exira.

Note: Parents of Agnes Gussie Nelson were Carl F. Nelson and Anna K. Sorenson. She was married to Frank Everett Wall.
