Final Rites Held For
"Dusty" Rhodes Monday

Funeral services were held at
the Corl funeral home here Mon-
day afternoon for Charles "Dusty"
Rhodes, who died Friday afternoon
at St. Anthony hospital in Car-
roll. The Rev. Charles R. Hagee,
pastor of the Christian church, of-
ficiated and burial was in the
Exira cemetery.

Mr. Rhodes was born February
16, 1865, and had resided in this
community for a great many
years. He had resided at the coun-
ty home since 1929. He was taken
to the hospital in Carroll on Mon-
day of last week and underwent
an operation Friday morning.

A sister, Mrs. Sarah Ziegler of
Perry, is the only near relative
surviving.

Note: Parents were Amos Rhoads and Elizabeth "Betsey" Runnel.
