Mrs. Elizabeth Minerman
Died Here This Afternoon

Mrs. Elizabeth Minerman, long
time resident of this county, died
this afternoon at her home here
following a lingering illness. She
has been gradually failing the past
several days and her death was
not unexpected.

She is the mother of Charles
and Walter Minerman and Mrs.
E. J. Baker of this place and Mrs.
William Wahlert of Anita.

Mrs. Elizabeth Minerman,
Long A Resident Of This
County, Died Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza-
beth Minerman, well known Exira
woman, were held at 2 o'clock
Sunday afternoon at the Federated
church. The Rev. E. Carnell Wil-
son had charge of the services.
Burial was in the Exira cemetery.

Mrs. Minerman died last Thurs-
day afternoon following a linger-
ing illness. She had been a resi-
dent of Audubon county over 55
years.

Elizabeth Watson Minerman was
born in Burroughs county, Illinois,
on October 23, 1858. When five
years of age, she moved with her
parents to Johnson county, Iowa.
She was married to Henry Miner-
man on September 6, 1877, and
they continued to make their home
there until the spring of 1882,
when they moved to Audubon
county locating on a farm in
Greeley township. They retired in
1915 and moved to Exira. Mr.
Minerman died February 3, 1933.

Surviving are five children, 12
grandchildren and 15 great grand-
children. The children are: Chas.
Minerman of Exira, Mrs. Minnie
Wahlert of Anita, Will Minerman
of Blythe, California; Mrs. Bertha
Baker and Walter Minerman of
Exira. Two sisters, Mrs. Joe James
and Mrs. Henry Maske of Oxford,
also survive.

Out of town relatives here to
attend the services were Mrs. Joe
James, Mrs. Henry Maske and
sons, Leonard and Quentin, of Ox-
ford; Joe and Phil Foley Jr. of
Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Morris
Casper of Shenandoah; Mr. and
Mrs. Will Wahlert, Mr. and Mrs.
Lyman Wahlert; Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Wahlert and Mr. and Mrs.
Fay Petersen of Anita; Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Bisom of Adair; Dr.
and Mrs. W. U Hammer of At-
lantic; Mr. and Mrs. George Bol-
ter of Harlan and Mrs. Hattie
Baker of Audubon.

kindness during the illness and at
the time of the death of our be-
loved mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Min-
erman. We also wish to thank
those who sent beautiful floral
tributes and those who sang at the
funeral service.
