Buried In Minnesota

Funeral services for Clair Knee-
land, who died Tuesday, February
5th, at his home near Truman,
Minnesota, were held Thursday af-
ternoon of last week. Burial was
in the Lewisville, Minn., cemetery.

Mr. Kneeland died as a result
of a paralytic stroke. He was
born in Shelby county on July 22,
1890, and was married to Miss
Lulu Hawk of Brayton on Octo-
ber 16, 1915.

Surviving are his widow and
nine children, seven daughters and
two sons, all at home with the ex-
ception of one daughter.

Mrs. Kneeland is a sister to Mrs.
C. D. Gipple of this place.

Note: Lula Eliza Hawk was the great grandaughter of Nathaniel Hamlin, Audubon county's first white settler.
