Farmer Near Elk Horn
Shoots Self Wednesday

Fred Fredericksen, 45, farmer liv-
ing near Elk Horn, ended his life
Wednesday afternoon by shooting
himself in the head with a .410
guage shotgun.

Fredericksen placed the muzzle of
the gun to the side of his head and
pulled the trigger, causing a wound
that resulted in his death an hour
and a half later. Financial trou-
ble was given as the cause for his
rash act.

He is survived by his widow and
three children.
