Was Well Known Farmer of
Audubon Township.
Funeral Monday

Emil Nielsen, well known Audubon
township farmer, died Friday at his
home southeast of Exira following
a short illness with liver trouble. Mr.
Nielsen had been in poor health for
several months, but his final llness
was of short duration and his death
was unexpected by his friends.

Funeral services were held Mon-
day afternoon at the home and at
the local Danish Lutheran church
with the Rev. Frits Andersen in
charge assisted by Rev. H. Plam-
beck. Burial was in St. John's cem-
etery.

Emil Christian Nielsen was born
in Tommerup, Fun, Denmark, on
May 29, 1874, and died August 28,
1931, at the age of 57 years, two
months and 29 days. In the year
1908, he was united in marriage to
Margreth Farstrup. To this union
were born two sons. In 1913, the
family came to America and located
near Exira where they had since
made their home.

Survi(v)ing are his widow, two sons,
Arne and Carl, at home, two sisters
and one brother in Denmark, and
numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Nielsen was a member of the
local Danish Evangelical Lutheran
church. He was a faithful neighbor
and friend and his passing is
mourned by all who knew him.
