Mrs. J. W. Wissler Laid to Rest
Prayer services for Mrs. John W. Wissler, 86, a former Exiran; in late years a resident of a nursing home in Sioux City, were held Sunday evening at the Heaton-Wescott Funeral Home in Sioux City. The Rev. Donald Sinclair of the First Congregational Chruch officiated.
Services were also held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Federated Church in Exira, with the Rev. Neville Clayton officiating. Burial was in the Exira cemetery.
Mrs. Wissler died Friday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
She was born Ida L. Bruner, Nov. 25, 1881 at Exira, and was married to John Wissler in 1899 at Exira. He died in 1939. She was a member of the Federated church in Exira.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wilbur (Helen) Seubert and Miss Gladys Wissler, both of Sioux City; a son, Ross Wissler of Abilene, Texas, and one grandchild. Preceding her in death besides her husband was a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Vera) Bridgeman.
