MAN DIES WHILE VISITING
WITH RELATIVES HERE

---------

A. P. Nelson, aged 53, of Brainard,
Minn., who was taken ill with dropsy
en route to his home from a trip
through Florida and forced to halt
here (Exira) because of his serious illness,
died at 1:30 Sunday morning at the
home of his wife's mother, Mrs. P. A.
Jessen, and husband in West Exira.

Mr. Nelson, though in poor health,
was not considered seriously ill when
he left Miami in March. He made
the trip by rail upon the advice of
his physician, arriving here on March
19, several days ahead of his family,
who left Miami at about the same
time, making the trip by auto.

After his arrival here he was taken
seriously ill and for a time it look-
ed as though he would pass on before
the arrival of his family. His con-
dition improved, however, and he
seemed to be getting along nicely un-
til Sunday. His death was due to
cerebral hemorrhage.

Short services were held at the
house Monday morning, Rev. P. C.
Jensen officiating, and the remains
were then taken to his late home for
interment, accompanied by his family
and Mrs. Jessen of this place.
