ELK HORN MAN DIES AT
AN ADVANCED AGE

----------

Chris Christensen, a native of Den-
mark, died at Elk Horn at two o'clock
Thursday morning at the home of his
daughter, Mrs. Nels Hansen, death
being the result of the breaking up of
age. Deceased was eighty years old.

At the time Mr. Christensen came
to America from Denmark forty-six
years ago, he settled in the Elk Horn
vicinity, and for many years farmed
east of Elk Horn. He once moved to
Atlantic where he lived for a few
years and then returned to the farm
later retiring and moving to Elk
Horn where he had lived for the last
ten years. His wife died last spring.
One child, the daughter, Mrs. Hansen,
survives. He also leaves a sister, Mrs.
Andrew Johnson, Pingree, S. D., and
one brother, P. H. Christensen, living
east of Elk Horn. There are several
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Satur-
day at 1:15 at the late home, the Rev.
Vedebeck of the Danish Lutheran
church officiating, and burial was
made in the Elk Horn cemetery.
