LONG TIME RESIDENT
OF COUNTY PASSES

N. P. Andersen of Brayton
Dies Following Short Ill-
ness. Funeral Monday

N. P. Andersen, prominent retired
farmer of Brayton, passed away at
his home Saturday evening, follow-
ing an illness of two weeks duration.
Death was due to heart trouble.

The deceased was born in Den-
mark on June 23, 1884 and worked
four years at Green Bay, Wisconsin.
He then moved to Clinton county,
Iowa, where he resided eleven years.
On December 1, 1898, he was united
in marriage to Miss Carrie Andersen,
in the year 1900 Mr. Andersen moved
to Audubon county, settling in Oak-
field township where he purchased a
farm. This place was the family
home until about two years ago, when
Mr. and Mrs. Andersen retired and
moved to Brayton.

The deceased is survived by the
wife, one son and two daughters. The
children are Mrs. J. P. Laursen and
Lydia and Hans Andersen.

Funeral services were held at the
Danish Lutheran church, Brayton,
Monday afternoon at 1 p. m., and at
St. John's church at three o'clock,
conducted by Rev. Mehr of Brayton
and Rev. Jorgensen of Kimballton.
Burial was in St. John's Danish
cemetery.

preciation for the many acts of kind-
ness shown us by our neighbors and
friends during the illness and death
of our beloved husband and father.
Also for the beautiful floral offerings.
We also wish to thank those who
sang at the funeral services.

BRAYTON NEWS

N. P. Andersen for many years a
resident of this vicinity and for the
past two years a resident of Brayton,
passed away at his home, Saturday,
January 9, after an illness of several
weeks duration. He is survived by his
wife and three children, a son and
two daughters. Funeral services were
held Monday afternoon from the
church in Brayton, and also at St.
John's Lutheran church, north of
town, and interment was made in the
cemetery there.
