Mrs. Samuel Green of
This Place

Mrs. Samuel Green died at her
home Saturday morning following
an illness of only a few days.

She had not been sick a very
great length of time in her last ill-
ness, having done her work up un-
til shortly before the end. On Mon-
day afternoon of the week in which
she died she had felt somewhat
tired and had taken to her bed.
Friday evening she had sat up in a
chair and receive visitors, and had
explained to them that she expected
to get up and begin to get around
again on the next morning. Early
on Saturday morning she had a is
on, but the effort proved too much
for her heart, and at six o'clock in
the morning of Saturday, January
10th, she passed into that calm
and peaceful rest which knows no
physical awakening.

Sarah Elizabeth Luzadder was
born in Polk county, south of Des
Moines, on the 21st day of Novem-
ber, 1858. She had spent her life
time in the state of Iowa, having
lived for the greater share of the
time in Cass and Audubon counties.
She came to Audubon county in the
spring of 1894, and finally moved
to Exira in 1912.

When a very young woman, the
deceased met Samuel B. Green, and

county on November 29, 1874. To-
gether they had passed their 56th
wedding anniversary. To this
union were born 16 children, 8 of
whom preceded their mother to the
Great Beyond.

this loving wife and mother, are
