DIED AT HOSPITAL

The death of Mrs. L. M. Parrott (Lewis Milton Parrott (1865-1944))
occurred Saturday afternoon at the
Atlantic hospital, where she had been
taking treatments. The remains were
taken to the family home near Audu-
bon and funeral services were held
from the Christian church here (Exira) Mon-
day afternoon, conducted by Rev. Guy
Fansher of the Audubon Methodist
church. Burial was made in Oakfield
cemetery.

Martha Almeda Parrott was the
daughter of Amherst Heath (1825-1868) and wife (Lola Ann (Lacey) Heath Beers (???-1900)).
She was born near Oakfield on Au-
gust 19th, 1867, and had lived in this
county her entire lifetime with the ex-
ception of two years. She was a mem-
ber of the Exira Christian church and
of the Royal Neighbor lodge.

She is survived by the husband and
ten children who are Mrs. Floyd Free-
man (Lola Alice (1889-1958)) of Atlantic; Mrs. Carl Stanley
of Lineville; Mrs. Earl Garoutte of
Audubon; Mrs. Cloyd Rist of Glen-
wood; Max L. (1898-1998) and Carlyle Parrott (1895-1952) of
Adair; John C. (1890-1972) and Ben Parrott (1900-1972) of
Audubon; Howard M. Parrott (1892-1981) of De-
catur, Illinois, and Willis at home.
Also two brothers, Frank Heath (1862-1940) of
Ferndale, Calif., and Elmer Heath (1864-1952) of
Council Bluffs, and two sisters, Mrs.
Wm. Gearheart of Oakfield and Mrs.
Rose Carpenter of Brownell, Kan., and
two half-sisters, Mrs. C. I. Dimick (Eva Jane Beers (1874-1936) of
Brayton and Mrs. Sam Budd (Nellie Beers) of At-
lantic.
