AUDUBON COUNTY PIONEER
PASSES AWAY NEAR ANITA

The death of George Parrott, aged
73, pioneer resident of Audubon coun-
ty, occurred at the home of his niece,
Mrs. W. M. Pearson, near Anita, Tues-
day evening. Pneumonia was the
cause of his death.

The deceased was born October 25,
1852, in Dubuque county, and came
to this part of the state in an early
day making, the trip with a yoke of
oxen. He was well known throughout
this section.

He is survived by one brother and
one sister, Willis Parrott and Mrs.
Ida Burns, both of this county.

Funeral services were held at the
home of his niece, Mrs. W. M. Pear-
son, this afternoon at one o'clock.
Burial was in Exira cemetery.
