CHILD DIES OF
INFANTILE PARALYSIS

----------
Sudden Death of Little Son of
Exira People Shocks the
Entire Community.

----------

The community was shocked yester-
day to learn of the death of Marvin,
little son of Mr. and Mrs. Jens P.
Jensen, following an illness of but a
few hours from infantile paralysis.
The little lad was taken ill yesterday
morning and passed away about five
o'clock in the evening. Every effort
was made to check the disease but he
gradually grew worse. The start of
the disease was in the neck and it
went upwards reaching the brain.

Marvin Jensen was born November
23, 1921. He was an exceptionally
bright little fellow and was the joy
and pride of his parents. He had been
in the best of health until the fore
part of this week when he took a
slight cold, which was followed by
the attack of infantile paralysis.

Due to the nature of this disease
funeral services were not held and the
remains were laid to rest at eight
o'clock Wednesday night in the Exira
cemetery.

The bereaved family have the sym-
pathy of the entire community in
their hour of sorrow.
