YOUNG FARMER DIES
AT CRESTON HOSPITAL

Charles Rose, Jr., Succumbs
to Attack of Appendicitis
Following Short Illness

Charles Rose, Jr., son of Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Rose, who reside south-
east of Exira, died last Wednesday
night, September 9, at the Greater
Community hospital in Creston. The
young man was taken sick the Friday
before with an attack of appendicitis,
and was rushed to the hosptial and
all that medical skill could do failed
to save his life.

Deceased was born February 14th,
1895, near Exira and had lived here
abouts during his entire life. He was
farming in partnership with a broth-
er southeast of town.

He leaves to mourn his loss, the
parents, four brothers, James of
Anita, Henry and Edward of Exira
and Frank of Creston; four sisters,
Mrs. John Chevanie? of Adair, Mrs.
Albert Zelinka? of Chicago, Mrs. J. B.
Erisinger? of Prescott and Mrs. Anna
Hrbal? of Creston, and a host of other
relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Friday
forenoon in Creston and interment was
in Calvary cemetery at that place.
