William Edward Dill, 74, of Exira, died July 10 in the Jones Hospital in Atlantic. Reasons for his death was given as heart trouble and complications. The funeral service is to be held Thursday afternoon at the Exira Church of Christ with the Rev. A.G. Whittier officiating. Burial is to be in the Exira Cemetary. Mr. Dill was born at Marysville, Mo., May 1, 1860 and came to Cass County when ten years of age with his parents. In 1880, he went to Edgington, Illinois, where he lived for a short time. He married Mary Hogan, Nov. 2, 1887, at Rock Island, Illinois. Eleven children were born, eight surviving; Mrs. Abbie McMenamin of Dexter, Mrs. May Jones of Brayton, Mrs. Anna Tibben of Exira, Mrs. Addie Wells of Messena, Mrs. Minnie Hill of Dexter, and Mrs. Erma Roll of Atlantic, Harry Dill of Atlantic, and George. Three sons died in infancy. Mrs. Dill also survives.
