Kness Rites Wednesday

Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 for Genevieve Kness, of Panora and formerly of Guthrie Center. Rev. J. Milton Kinney will officiate at the services at the United Methodist Church in Guthrie Center. Interment will be at the Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Kness is survived by three daughters; Mrs. Keith Crowder, of Monteith, Ruby Craun of Ocheyedan and Gladys Larsen of Stuart, five sons; Raymond of Des Moines, Richard and Robert both of Guthrie Center, Donald of Cedar Rapids and Maurice of Elk Grove, Ill., husband, Dewey Kness, two sisters, one brother, 41 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

1. Genevieve Myrtlene Kline, born April 11, 1900 in Exira, Audubon County, Iowa; died May 06, 1972 in Guthrie Center, Guthrie County, Iowa. She was the daughter of 2. Jacob Woodson "Wood" Kline and 3. Nellie Hannah Hellyer. She married Dewey Henry Kness February 28, 1922. He was born December 22, 1898 in Audubon County, Iowa, and died January 04, 1987 in Craft Care Center, Guthrie Center, Iowa. He was the son of George Elmer Kness and Mary Henry.
