OBITUARY
WINONA KESSELRING
July 1, 1907-May 23, 1994

Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 31,
1994 at 1 p.m. at the Dallas Park Cemetery for
Winona Kesselring.

A former resident of Ridgway for 30 years, 86-year-
old Kesselring died May 23 at her home in Las Vegas
of natural causes. She had lived there nine years and
had also lived in California for 25 years.

Winona was born July 1, 1907 to Lincoln Akers and
Mary Harris Akers in Exira, Iowa where she grew up
and attended high school. In 1926 she married John
Kesselring in Guthrie, Iowa. The couple had one
daughter, Phyllis Archer, and two sons, now
deceased.

Mrs. Kesselring enjoyed sewing, needlework and
taking care of her family. She is preceded in death by
her parents, husband John, two sons, two grandchil-
dren and one great-grandchild.

She is survived by sisters Lilly Schwarting of Exira,
Iowa and Coral Gibson of Escondido, Calif, daughter
Phyllis Archer of Las Vegas, Nev., five grandchildren,
12 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchil-
dren.
