WEDDING BELLS

--------
Two Loving Hearts, Whose Thoughts
Were One Consulted The Third
Who Tied A Knot

--------

Mr. Lee McAninch was quietly
married to Miss Clara Hamlin at
the bride's home in Omaha Sunday
October 3rd, inst.

Lee is a product of Exira and the
city is proud of her son. His father,
the late James McAninch was
prominent merchant of this place
for many years and up to bis death,
and was honored and respected by
all who knew him. His widowed
mother lives a quiet, peaceful life,
on one of Exira's homelike boulevards
where she enjoys summers shaded
sun and protected from winter's
wierd influences. Here Lee was
raised from childhood to manhood,
and participating in the elements
of good, grew to a magnificent specimen
of manhood with attributes of
the virtuous.

Miss Clara Hamlin is the daughter
of our late townsman, Ex-County
Supervisor Doug Hamlin, now
of Harrison, Neb. She too was
raised in Exira of a noble parent-
age. Her teaching from childhood
to maternity was elevating, in spirit
and precept. Their acquaintance
of each other ripened from the bud
of youth, to the bloom of the matured.
That their lives will be one
of comfort and happiness no one
can contradict.

The Journal force wishes them
the happiness through the journey
of life that comes to the just, the
virtuous, the illustrious.

Note: Parents of Claire “Clara” Hamlin were Nathaniel Douglas Hamlin and Elva Crane.
Parents of Charles Leander "Lee" McAninch were James F. McAninch and Anna I. Davis.
