LOCAL and PERSONALJoseph Beers was taken to the
hospital at Clarinda, Monday morning
for treatment. A short time
ago he suffered a very severe attack
of tonsilitis, and upon his recovery
went to the country to be employed
on the farm belonging to his father.
He was taken violently ill last Friday
and it became necessary to
take him away. He is the youngest
son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Beers. He was a splendid young
man, and it is hoped that he will
recover rapidly.Note: Parents of Burley Joseph "Josie" Beers (1899-1994) were Franklin "Frank" Beers and Mary Theresa "Mamie" Meurer. Josie was married first to Violet May Triplett and second to Ruth Emaline Wells.
