FIRST WOMAN TO
VOTE IN EXIRA

--------

The women availed themselves
of their new privilege in Exira, and
of the 703 votes cast 275 were cast
by the women. Mrs. Carlisle Parrott (Stella Sue Benham)
has the honor of being the first
woman here to cast a vote and she
makes no secret of the fact that her
ticket was straight Republican.

Note: Parents of Stella Sue Benham were Theodore A. Benham and Nancy Louise Bell. Stella was married to Carlyle Burnett Parrott.
