The marriage of Miss Linna
Brinkerhoff and Mr. Guy Combes
of Spencer, Nebraska, took place
Thursday, May 15th.Mrs. Combes was for sometime
deputy County Auditor, where she
showed much business ability. She
was born and raised in Exira, but
followed her mother, Mrs. Fred
Cotton and husband to Spencer,
Neb. where she has been employed
in a bank. Linna was a popular
young lady and we trust her charms
may be enduring. We have not the slightest. acquaintance
with Mr. Combes, but
we congratulate the young people
in their determination to "love and
honor each other" and we think
there is something about "obeying"
too.Mr. and Mrs. Combes came to
Exira yesterday for a short visit
before returning to Spencer, where
they will make their home.Note: Parents of Linna Beryl Brinkerhoff were William Ernest "Bill" Brinkerhoff and Emma Catherine Crane.
