Exira News

George Dimick came up town, on
last Saturday, with a single horse
and a load of "Dan's Best" Flour
and after unloading all but a couple
of sacks had stopped in front of the
T. H. Erricson bakery when a herd
of cattle came down the street and
one great big steer came up close to
where the horse was standing and
blew a shrill blast from his nostrils
and then it was that the horse sud-
denly remembered that he had to
go to the mill, at West Town, and
left hurriedly for that place, scatter-
ing flour as he went, but did no
great amount of damage.

Note: Parents of George G. Dimick (1860-1933) were John J. Dimick and his first wife Fannie Mitchell. George was married to Corabelle "Cora B." Jenkins.
