Local Boy Honored

Benjamin Hensley, son of Mr. and
Mrs. John I. Hensley of this place (Exira),
was honored on the list of Grinnell
scholars for the year 1930-1931, ac-
cording to an announcement from
the office of the Register at Grin-
nell college. A minimum of 80 grade
points is required for a place on the
list. Hensley was an outstanding
football and track man, during
his four year term at Grinnell. He
placed fifth in the finals of the 400
meter hurdle race at Lincoln, Ne-
braska, in tryout competition for
the 1933 Olympic games.
