EXIRA SCHOOL NEWS

TRACK SQUAD WORKING

The track team held back for sev-
eral weeks due to bad weather, is
now working hard every day getting
ready for the coming meets.

Altho last year's graduation took
most of the track material, we
have a few men who should place in
the state meet.

Ben Hensley is showing very good
form in the pole vault. Claude
Wells is getting better every day in
the high jump and Frank Wells ex-
pects to run the 100 yd. dash in 10
flat before the season is over. John
Hensley will do broad jumping and
the hurdles. Ai Davis and Lester
Young have been throwing the discus
aroun the 100 mark. Don Varney,
Harry Hocamp, Harold Hansen,
Raymond Ash, Ormo Nelsen and Tom
McGovern will probably be entered
in the distance races.
