EXIRA SCHOOL NEWS

Some time ago the Sophomores
tried writing advertisement in
rhyme. This is not so easy a task,
but some of the ads were quite poetic,
and we submit some of them for your
inspection:
"To keep your chickens from get-
ing roup, Be sure they are housed in
a nice Kozy Koop." -- Erle Bowen. (1910-1967)
Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white as snow,
How she kept it thus
We'd really like to know.
She used IVORY Soap, Why don't
you? -- Merle Bowen. (1910-2005, twin to Erle)
You choose a hat or frock for its
becomingness;
You select it because its style fits
you --
You do not buy it merely because
it fits you;
You buy it because it looks better on
someone else. -- Ai Davis. (1910-1988)
Kalburnie Gingham
Kittens and Bunnies,
Parks and Squirrels
For pockets and collars
Of good little girls,
Elephant babies,
And puppy dogs gay,
For a little boy's pocket--
Send them today. -- Harry Hocamp. (1910-1990)
Campbells Soup
Vigor and hustle, ginger and muscle,
Win the game you play!
Can make you the winner--
Eat it every day!! -- Frank Hansen.
