LOCAL ITEMS

Walt Madsen (1906-1973) had a slight accident
west of town one night recently with
a result that one glass in his Chev-
rolet coupe was broken and his
shoulder slightly bruised. A truck
was standing in the road with lights
on and Walt was forced to take the
ditch to avoid hitting it. The accident
occurred in front of the Bud Leigan
place and just as the car was brought
to a stop the mail box and post ram-
med through the door glass striking
Walt on the shoulder. The accident
could have been much worse.
