LOCAL ITEMS

Mrs. Walter Schlotfeldt (1878-1960), living just
north of town (Exira), became entangled in
the gears of her washing machine
Friday morning and lost the end of
one forefinger. Infection developed
and she has been suffering much
pain from the injury.
