There is confusion about when the Mystic Sentinel was started. It was the last paper to serve Mystic. Ethel Boyle and Fern Valentine were with the Sentinel for a number of years. For a time it transferred it's equipment to Centerville in an attempt to establish a broader economic base. That failed, as well as Sentinel, in either the late 1940'S OR EARLY 1950'S AND mYSTIC HAS not had a newspaper since.
Unfortunately copies of neither the Telegram, Letter or Sentinel are on file at the Iowa Historical Museum.
This is from a small HISTORY OF MYSTIC,IOWA, I have a copy of the book and might be able to help some it I know what you are looking for.
