I have a listing for a John Johnson family in the 1860 census of Appanoose Cty. The youngest child listed is Richard Johnson, age 1. My family records show Richard was born in May of 1860 so if the census was taken in June I suppose this is how they would show the age of a baby?? Richard is the name of my g-g-grandfather and Appanoose Cty is listed as his place of birth of one of his children's birth records. I have no idea how to proceed as Johnson is such a common name. Any help would be appreciated.
