Mary Jane (Helmick) Murphy Criteser

Hello!

I am looking specifically for any death information on my Great (x3) Grandmother Mary Jane (Helmick) Murphy Criteser. I would really like to find where she is buried and if possible find her headstone if there is one.

Mary Jane Helmick
Born: 25 December 1830 in Bartholomew County, Indiana
Parents: John R Helmick and Margaret Gilleland
Married: Marshall Murphy on 12 April 1849 in Bartholomew County, Indiana
Married: William Robert Criteser on 30 July 1870 in Appanoose County, Iowa
Died: ? (the information I have states 1877, but I'm unsure where this came from)

So after Mary Jane married Marshall Murphy, they had one child in Indiana and the rest were born and raised in Appanoose County, Iowa. They had the following children in Appanoose:
- Nancy Ann (Murphy) Gilleland
- John R Murphy
- Margaret Ann (Murphy) Boyd
- Merritt Murphy
- Elizabeth (Murphy) Huddleston
- Frank Murphy
- George Washington Murphy

It is believe that Marshall Murphy died around 1868 and the family legend is that he died in the Civil War but I am unsure about this story. We do not know what became of him. But eventually Mary Jane remarried William Robert Criteser and they had one child named Andrew Robinson Criteser.

Any information about where she ended up, or how to find more specific records in Appanoose County would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!
