Sorry, I can not help you. I checked out some of the census records. Only could find the information you probably have: 1870 Iowa,Jones County, Madison Twp. Amos is listed as age 45 born in Ohio. His occupation is plaster.
Wife Mary, age 39 born in Ohio. Their children all born in Iowa: Daniel H age 19, Andrew age 17, Margaret age 15, Mary age 13, John age 11, Nancy B age 6 and Allen age 3.

1860 census for Iowa, Jones County, Monticello Twp there is a Amos Robbins listed age 17, farm hand born in Ohio.

1900 census there are 200 head of household listed with the last name Robbins for Iowa. John Robbins and wife Margaret are listed in Appanoose County, Union Twp. His occupation is plaster. John is listed as age 41 born in Iowa and parents born in Ohio. His wife Margaret is listed as born in Iowa and her parents born in TN. They have been married 20 years with no children. A brother in law to John, Philip Underwood is living with them. He is listed as 26, a farmer with his parents born in TN. Wish you luck in finding Amos on other records - Arlene
