Richard W. Porter enlisted as a Private at Appanoose County; age 18; nativity Ohio July 28, 1863; Mustered Sep 6, 1863; taken prisoner Neauman Ga, Parolled, mustered out June 5, 1865 at Clinton, Iowa.
*Union Defender Co F 8th IA CAV; pension received as an invalid 1877 Appanoose County Iowa.

Looking for burial place. Thanks!
