pearce (any spelling) jones doesn't have a tombstone either in app. county. lots of rural or even city cemeteries have no written record as to who is buried there unfortunately. or if the death is 1870 or before the tombstone if there ever was one has disappeared. I have visited cemeteries in Illinois fairly recently where tombstones that existed in the early 1970s aren't there anymore or have deteriorated so badlt that they can't be read.
