If you can get access to ancestry.com, either via subscription or free access at many libraries and all Family History Centers, do a look-up for William Dodrill, born 1851 in Iowa.

The first entry should be a user submitted genealogy. Beside that, click on the link that says "More like this". Then scroll down to the one titled "Stout Family Tree" by user T_Kathie. It has lots of original records for the Dodrill family and their wives.

I can't vouch for it's accuracy but it seems well documented, a point in it's favor.
