I'm not positive about Iowa in that time frame, but usually death certificates included the place of burial. Now that you know his date of death you can write here and get his death certificate and see what that says:

The obituary does say he was buried in Haines Cemetery. That's about 5 miles north of Centerville on Route 5. That's only a couple of miles from Clarkdale, where his obituary said he lived.
